Welcome to the Garrard County Schools, where our motto is, “Expect the Best”. This website will help you learn more about our school district and each of our schools. We are happy that you have taken the time to learn more about our district and all that we have to offer our students, staff, and community. Our dedicated staff understands the power in positive relationships between schools, home, and community. Working together, we are developing students who are lifelong learners. With a goal of becoming a high-performing, premier school district in the Commonwealth, we understand the power in valuing and developing our student’s talents and interests. By placing a priority on developing each student’s strengths, we will better prepare them for greater academic achievement, to be college and career ready, and to help them reach their dreams.
My name is Corey M. Keith and I am excited and grateful to have been named the Superintendent of Garrard County Schools. Prior to this, I have had various experiences as an educator: 2 years as the Assistant Superintendent of Garrard County Schools, 4 years working with the Kentucky Department of Education assisting low-performing high schools in Jefferson and Fayette Counties, 4 years as a Middle School Principal, and 12 years teaching math at different levels (middle school, high school, and college). My wife Rhonda and I reside in Garrard County with our 3 daughters. Hannah as a senior at the high school, Rebekah is an 8th grader at GMS, and Abby is a 6th grader at GMS.
I feel very blessed for the opportunity to work with the Board of Education, our talented staff and students, and the community to see our students excel and be successful. It is a calling and responsibility that I take very seriously.
