THANK YOU Plaid Elephant Books of Danville for providing each student 2nd - 5th grade with their very own copy of Dog Man's newest book "Scarlett Shedder". Mrs. Kate spoke with students about how to find the right books to spark a for love reading, engaged the students in book trivia, and introduced them to a NEW book! Thank you again to Mrs. Kate & Plaid Elephant Books!

Attendance Student Spotlight! [Enda Martin, 5th Grade] Enda has maintained PERFECT attendance so far this year! When asked how she stays motivated to come to school everyday, she states "I think of all the fun things we’re going to do - and I can’t miss out on that!"

Congratulations to GCS Staff Member, Mrs. Shelley Ives, for being recognized as the Garrard County Schools Support Staff Member of the Month sponsored by Danville Office Equipment at the October Board Meeting!👏 Mrs. Ives provides academic support to many of our CDR Bobcats. She is a positive and caring individual who is also a strong role model to the students of CDR. Mrs. Ives is creative and committed to meeting the needs of the students she supports. In addition, Mrs. Ives is flexible and handles changes with a smile on her face! Often, she is called on to provide support to multiple classrooms/students and/or step in to cover unforeseen responsibilities. Mrs. Ives is always proactive in filling needs for our diverse learners. We are so grateful for all Mrs. Ives brings to our learning community here at Camp Dick Robinson as we strive to meet the needs of, "Every Bobcat, Every Day"!

Congratulations to Mr. Patrick Kennedy for being recognized as the Garrard County Schools Teacher of the Month, sponsored by Whitaker Bank during the October board meeting!👏 Mr. Kennedy is a skilled P.E. teacher who goes above and beyond on many different levels. Not only does he teach with determination and enthusiasm, but he also engages CDR students through our Student Leadership Program. In addition, he provides every child at CDR the opportunity to participate in "Movement" every single day. This movement is supported by research in helping students to handle the demands of the academic school day. Mr. Kennedy is a positive team player who motivates students and staff to get healthy and is always upbeat and passionate about teaching! We are so proud to nominate Mr. Patrick Kennedy who truly exemplifies "The Bobcat Way"! 👏
