Garrard County Schools recently had the honor of hosting the KSBA Central Kentucky Regional Meeting, a special event led by School Board Chairman Dr. Jerry Browning, who also serves as Chairman of Central Kentucky. School board members, superintendents, and school administrators from across the region gathered in Garrard County to enjoy an evening of connection, celebration, and student engagement.

The meeting was held on the brand-new turf field at the GCHS Athletic Complex, with the district’s new video board serving as the presentation screen. Guests were greeted by the Garrard County High School cheerleaders and enjoyed game-time favorites performed by the Pep Band, setting an energetic tone for the evening.

One of the highlights of the night was the interaction between Garrard County students and visiting guests. GCHS student-athletes led guided tours of the facilities, offering participants the chance to experience firsthand the many programs and opportunities available. Visitors tried their hand at tennis, explored the golf trackman, viewed the new weight rooms, and toured the baseball and softball facilities. The JROTC cadets provided a meaningful experience by teaching guests the tradition of folding the American flag.

“I am so proud of how our students represented Garrard County Schools,” said Superintendent Dr. Kevin Stull. “From athletics to band, JROTC, and culinary, they showcased not just our facilities, but the heart and pride of our district.”

The night impressed the attendees, with one participant noting that meetings in Garrard County are always memorable. She even shared that she still had keepsakes made by students from past meetings, a testament to the impact of student involvement in these events.

The success of the evening reflected the pride and spirit of Garrard County Schools, with students shining as the true highlight of the night.
