Garrard County High School proudly celebrated its 2026 Homecoming festivities with the crowning of this year’s Homecoming Queen, Ms. Perla Mendoza Garcia. Perla was crowned by former Garrard County High School Homecoming Queen Kara Staats, who returned to GCHS for this year’s Homecoming celebration.
The 2026 Homecoming Court included five senior queen candidates: Braelynn Glenn, Perla Mendoza Garcia, Mya Rowsey, Katie Sharp, and Claire Weaver.
The Homecoming Court also included:
Leeann Garrett, 9th Grade Attendant
Lily Cornelius, 10th Grade Attendant
Emma Whitt, 11th Grade Attendant
Each member of the court was selected by their classmates to represent their grade level as part of this year’s Homecoming tradition.
Garrard County High School congratulates Perla Mendoza Garcia on being named the 2026 Homecoming Queen and extends appreciation to all members of the Homecoming Court for representing the Golden Lion community with pride and school spirit. GCHS also thanks former Homecoming Queen Kara Staats for returning to campus to take part in our Homecoming tradition.
