
It's Para-educator Appreciation Week and we are celebrating our Amazing Paras this week!!! Today we also want to celebrate our AMAZING MSD paras, Mrs. Crystal Cornelius & Mrs. Ruthie Grow. You will see these ladies doing just about anything on any given day. They support our Special Needs population and push to make sure inclusion is routine around here. We are blessed to have them as part of the Leopard family!!!

Our exceptional students from Lancaster Elementary and Paint Lick Elementary visited the Little Crooked Creek Safari today. Our students spent the morning getting up close and personal with animals from around the world. From feeding kangaroos to meeting zebras, our students had a wild time exploring and learning! Yesterday our 3rd grade got to go on a field trip to Gattitown for a lesson in FRACTIONS and for good behavior......A few kids got to tag along from other grades too. Those students were our top fundraisers for the year. More pics to come 💚



Our district leaders and school administrators are on the move, participating in Learning Walks across the district to see the incredible impact our educators are making in the lives of our students! Stay tuned as we share the highlights and celebrate the dedication and innovation happening in every classroom.

1-2-3-4 WE ARE HAVING A PENNY WAR!!!!!! The kids are so excited about the penny war!!! The grade that wins gets a pizza or ice cream party!!!! And…the money raised goes STRAIGHT back to our PTO! The more money raised for our PTO, the more we can do!!!!!



Yesterday, Mrs. Canada collaborated with GCHS Child Service 1 class. Each child received a personalized box that had one physical, one intellectual, one emotional and one social age appropriate activity. Everyone had a great time!!!! LES is thankful for all of the collaboration we're able to do with the high school.




We have had an absolute blast this week! Read across America Week has been a fun one!!!! Thank you to everyone who participated!!! Happy Birthday Dr. Suess.

Tomorrow we are rounding out the week with dressing like your favorite book character. It doesn't have to be a Dr. Suess book, any book will do.

Tomorrow, March 7th we will celebrate the book FOX IN SOCKS by wearing crazy socks!!!!


Today our 5th grade had the opportunity to go to BizTown in Lexington! BizTown combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a simulated town. This popular learning experience allows elementary school students to operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks, and vote for mayor.
The Mayor elect was Abel Puckett!
CEO of Chik- Fil-A was Spencer May (voted BEST BUSINESS!
Saylor Hampton & Junior Gallegos were named BEST CITIZENS!!!
